My Work 

I am Principal Professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) at Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Also, I am director of the Research Program in Teaching and Learning Technologies at the Information Technology Center of ESPOL.

My Research

My current research interests are:

  • Learnometrics: Metrics for Learning Technologies
  • Measurment of the User-Generated Web
  • Science 2.0

My Network

Currently I am coordinating the Latin American Community on Learning Objects (LACLO) and organizing the LACLO Conference.

I am part of the Ariadne Foundation, coordinating the Center for Development and Support at Guayaquil.  

I represent LACLO at the Global Learning Objects Brokered Exchange (GLOBE) consortium.  

I was part of the Hypermedia and and Databases Group of the Computer Science Department of the Catholic University of Leuven, under the supervision of Prof. Erik Duval.

  • VAC-CIIFEN (Virtual Application Center for the El-Niño International Research Center)
  • Comuna Area Networks (Wireless Networking  for Rural Area Connectivity)
